How do I create my first listing?

Go to Sell Items (header or footer), then:

  • Add clear photos—multiple angles, good lighting
  • Write an honest title and description (include condition, flaws)
  • Set a fair price—check similar items first
  • Choose Tigule Protection for higher-value items (buyers pay through escrow, you're protected)

How do I contact a seller?

Open any listing and tap Contact Seller to start a conversation in Tigule messaging. You can also use the WhatsApp or Call buttons if the seller has shared them.

Keep chats on Tigule when possible—it keeps a record and helps if you need support. For protected listings, use Tigule messaging so evidence stays in one place.

Is it safe to buy from TiguleMarketplace?

Yes! Tigule is designed to help you buy safely. Here’s how we support you:

  • Tigule Protection — For protected listings, your payment stays in escrow until you confirm delivery. No pay-and-disappear.
  • Secure Links — Deals from WhatsApp or Facebook? Use a Secure Link so you pay through Tigule—funds stay protected until you receive the item.
  • Reviews & Profiles — Check seller ratings and reviews before buying. Spot red flags early.
  • In-App Messaging — Keep conversations on Tigule for a record. Avoid moving to external apps too soon.

How do I open a shop?

Go to Create Shop, add a name, description, logo, and location. Shops give you a storefront where buyers can browse all your listings, follow you, and see your ratings.

What is Looking For?

Looking For lets you post what you want to buy—sellers can respond with matching items. No more endless scrolling; post once and get offers.

Browse Looking For to respond to buyers, or create your own request.

What are Secure Links?

For deals from Facebook, WhatsApp, or outside Tigule, create a Secure Transaction Link. The buyer pays through Tigule escrow—funds stay protected until they confirm delivery.

Both parties are protected. Perfect for avoiding payment-before-delivery scams.

How do I boost or promote my listing?

From your listing or Boost Dashboard, choose a promotion plan. Boosted listings appear higher in search and get a Promoted badge.

Payment is handled securely via PayChangu. Best for items you want to sell quickly.

How do I buy event tickets?

Browse Events, pick your event, choose tickets, and pay securely via PayChangu. You’ll get an e-ticket with a QR code.

Use My Tickets to view your tickets. Organizers can create events and sell tickets from the Events dashboard.

What should I do if I encounter a problem?

Safety issues — Contact us immediately. We take all reports seriously.

Technical issues — Use our Contact Us form. Include details and screenshots if possible.

Protected transaction disputes — Use the dispute option in your Tigule Protection conversation.

How do payments work on TiguleMarketplace?

Direct Listings: For regular listings, buyers and sellers arrange payment directly (cash, Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba, etc.). Tigule does not process these payments—you simply connect and agree on payment method.

Tigule Protection: For protected listings, payments are processed securely through PayChangu, a trusted local payment provider. Buyers pay the item price plus a small commission; sellers pay a commission upfront. Funds stay in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery, protecting both parties.

Boost & Events: When you promote a listing (Boost) or buy event tickets, payments are also processed securely via PayChangu—card, mobile money, and other methods supported.

Secure Links: Have a deal from Facebook, WhatsApp, or outside Tigule? Create a Secure Transaction Link so the buyer pays through Tigule escrow. Funds stay protected until delivery is confirmed—perfect for avoiding payment-before-delivery scams.

How do I find items near me?

Set your location in your profile, then go to Near Me to see listings in your area. Use search with location filters, or browse by category.

Can I use Tigule on my phone?

Yes! Download the app (Android, iOS, Windows) or install as PWA for home screen access, faster loading, and basic offline support.
